Reporting to the Agricultural Fieldman and will respond to the concerns and inquiries of municipal ratepayers regarding agricultural, environmental, invasive species and problem wildlife matters, and supervisory responsibility for all Agriculture Service Board staff. Public speaking, and workshop PowerPoint presentation experience would be an asset.
- To be successful in this position, you will require an agriculture degree/diploma or with equivalent training and experience and have a working knowledge of the agricultural industry including knowledge of weeds in both identification and various aspects of control and plant identification.
- You will also need to hold a valid Pesticide Applicators License or the ability to obtain it, within 6 months of employment; a valid Class 5 or 3 Driver’s License with a satisfactory Drivers Abstract, Criminal Record Check and Standard First Aid.
- The successful candidate requires strong public relations and excellent verbal and written communication skills and can organize and prioritize workload.
- Has proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with GIS is considered an asset.
- All County of Warner personnel are governed by the County Health & Safety Policy.
Assistant Fieldman shall be required to perform other duties not contained herein that are required from time to time due to the nature of the position.
