    This full-time temporary position is responsible for delivering the County’s wildlife co-existence and management program, environmental monitoring and resource management services, extension and educational activities, and other programs and services within the Open Space and Agricultural Services Department. The role will be in place until approximately March 19, 2027.

    This position is responsible for ensuring program compliance with all municipal, provincial, and federal policies and legislation applicable to program areas.

    This position serves as a resource to other teams and departments regarding environmental practices and legislation.  It is a safety sensitive position.

This position is an 8-month term from May to December 2026. Reporting to the Agriculture Services Supervisor the Vegetation Management Technician assists with programs in the agricultural and environment department.

    Reporting to the Manager, Agriculture Services, this position is responsible for tasks to Agriculture out of the Fort Assiniboine Office.  The Technician is involved in the roadside spraying and seeding program, weed inspection, and responding to pest control requests.  Duties may include operating equipment, performing general labour and maintaining County-owned property.

    This is a temporary position available until the return of an employee on medical leave.

    The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and technical support to the Director of Agriculture and Environmental Services and department staff. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong computer proficiency, excellent communication skills, and is familiar with the rural/western way of life.

    Term: Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week with some overtime required.
