Reporting to the Manager of Agricultural and Environmental Services the Environmental Strategist will be responsible for managing various environmental projects and program initiatives, serving as a cross department environment SME, watershed and land use planning advisor, environment regulation liaison, conduct planning reviews for ASPs-DPs-Redes-SDs, risk management support, overseeing the agricultural environmental portfolio and providing council, ELT and the Agricultural Service Board reports and updates related to the environment.

The Environmental Strategist will provide technical support to the organization with the development, execution and monitoring of environment related projects and programs. This position will support the County in becoming more proactive in environmental management to meet legislation and best practices for the agriculture industry and water quality as well as striving for objectives laid out in regional watershed management plans.
