SEASONAL POSITIONS

Birch Hills County is currently looking to fill the following 2024 Seasonal Positions:

Agriculture Department:

Weed Inspector/Sprayers - 4 positions (approximately May 6 – August 30, negotiable to accommodate students).

 

Qualifications:

  • Valid class 5 driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, positive attitude.
  • Ability and willingness to perform physical labour and adapt to changing environmental conditions.
  • Ability to understand/read/navigate rural addresses is an asset, but training will be offered.
  • Ability to operate basic computer and mobile equipment.
  • Experience in weed and plant identification and control methods an asset.
  • Agricultural background would be an asset.
  • Experience with operation of equipment an asset, but training will be offered.
  • Mechanical aptitude an asset.
  • First Aid and Authorized Assistant Pesticide Applicator Certificates an asset but training will be offered.
  • Clean Criminal record check.
